Chronology: Context Through Locality” is a 20 page summary of Ulloa’s 30 year career as a visual artist. It describes the chronology and the trajectory of his work in terms of the plethora places he has lived. The journey takes the reader from New York to Europe to Cuba to Los Angeles, binding the changes in the artist’s styles and mediums to the localities in which he has lived. The book exposes Ulloa’s use of diverse techniques and materials, which has gone from the formal trainings of bronze casting and wood carving to collage/assemblage and even street art.
